How an enterprise can create job and beauty? How can you take care of people, the environment, and the territory and, at the same time, produce profits? How can an Italian company be international and remain tied to the land, its traditions and origins?
These are just some of the questions the interview book to the entrepreneur Enrico Loccioni tries to answer. Maria Ludovica and Riccardo Vivarelli, who have sided this out of the box entrepreneur for 25 years, edited the book. He has built his enterprise and participated to the rebirth of the territory it is in: 2 kilometres of future. His reference model are Enrico Mattei, Camillo and Adriano Olivetti, Aristide Merloni. His wife, Graziella Rebichini, is his incessant administrative and finance collaborator. The volume was presented at the Sole 24 Ore headquarters in Milan (April 2014, Gruppo 24ore publications); it goes through the human and entrepreneurial adventure of a simple and visionary man: an unusual example of the Italy, which can make it. In 1968, in Jesi, on the Marche hills, Enrico Loccioni founded the namesake group, which has continued enlarging also during the economic downturn. Its mission is doing research and launching projects, in which to expose oneself continuously, trying to solve customers’ problems and developing different business areas, expertise and markets. The main area is that of the electronic section, with industry automation activities: from devices for measuring energy saving to control and testing systems for white goods, from car injectors, to new generation drug dispensers. Key strategies include tight relations with schools and research centers, and an internal growth based on innovative start ups. In the last few years Summa – a company aimig at identifying new techological scenarios – Nexus –a network for international training – and Leaf Community – a network meant for developing low impact projects, an open laboratory and home for Italian and foreign collaborators, based on green building and sustainable principles.
