“Kintsukuro” is the Japanese word for the habit of fixing pottery, filling cracks with liquid…
The Milan Museum Poldi Pezzoli is one of the most famous museums worldwide, thanks to its beauty and its masterpieces. Few know that it was born in 1881 during the Milan national Expo for want of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli. He left a will to the city, in fact, in which he expressed his desire that the huge and precious bulk of his artworks remained as a public benefit forever. Since then, every year thousands of visitors visit the magnificent museum in via Manzoni. And they did so even last weeks to admire the four lady by Pollaiuolo, the “vague and happy young women” with their soft profiles.
During another international fair, Expo 2015, Poldi Pezzoli renovates in an echo-friendly perspective.
Heating and internal humidification systems have been already set up to grant the highest comfort to visitors, to save energy and to preserve artworks at best, by using heat pumps and Mitsubishi Electric devices. Now, in addition, a new veranda has been created on the roof, where an elegant café was created. The metal and glass structure was projected and designed by Mare-design. It has rounded profiles, heat-resistant highly insulating glasses and a series of moving screens. In addition the ventilation system is adjustable (museopoldipezzoli.it).
